Founded in 1984 by two engineers with the vision to build an independent filtration lab, SGS IBR has since grown into a leading, accredited testing laboratory with facilities in the U.S and Europe.  SGS IBR has worked with thousands of clients developing highly specialized quantitative filtration testing in air, water, oil and fuels across a broad spectrum of products and markets.

Advancing Global Standards and Conformity Assessment:

SGS IBR plays a significant role in the development of international consensus standards across a wide range of industries.  Members of SGS IBR’s management team are active participants in most of the relevant standards organizations; ISO, ASTM, IEC, CENELEC, SAE as well as trade associations such as the Filtration Society.  Participation means more than just membership, it includes leadership roles as chairmen and convenorships of sub-committees and working groups and the hosting of meetings at our facilities in the US and England.
